Death an equalizer;how prepared are you?

 Death is one thing that comes upon everything that lives on this sphere of existence. It is the cessation of mortal life for every living thing and more to it,it is an equalizer of every person no matter your pedigree, rank or status.
 Though it sounds weird talking about death,it is an undeniable fact that no living being can escape it. Our existence here on this part of life is for a few years and most times quite unpredictable how it would end or turn out to be.
We don't know tomorrow nor the next minute and that's why, the best form of mindset is the one that focuses on the after life rather than the present. Our mindset should be focused on what legacy we are creating and what we are becoming with the little life we have here on earth.
 Everyday and each passing day we draw closer to our dying day,the question now is 'how is our life affecting those around us',what are we doing with our time and opportunity now, how prepared are we for the afterlife. 
 We need to be very sincere with ourselves here,that when death lays his cold hands on a man,what would matter would not be possessions but what purpose we fulfilled with our few years here on earth.

Everything is not about prayers

 Happy new year once again, it's amazing how God has helped each and everyone of us to experience a new year as this,the year 2025.   At this time of the year many of us have high expectations and this is also a period where many churches and religious groups engage in fasting and prayers in preparation for the coming months of the year. While it is good and okay to carry out such religious observance, it is however not the an end in itself but a means to an end.  Most folks after fasting at this period when it gets to the last quarter of the year and it looks as if what they have prayed for in the early part of the year doesn't materialise they feel like God has disappointed them,whereas they have failed to look within how they had also contributed to the state of their lives.  Inasmuch as I advocate and support the issue of being prayerful,I also is of the opinion that prayers or being prayerful is not enough. Dan Okonkwo otherwise known as Rev'd Dan Okonkwo is an ordained minister of God with an apostolic teaching grace.  He is the Associate Global Lead Pastor of New Life Discipleship Ministry,he hails from Issele Mkpitime,idumu ogbu community in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State. He is second of nine children, and the first of three boys,born on the 3rd of October 1994,in the city of Port Harcourt,Rivers State of Nigeria. Attended his primary education at Campus County Nursery and Primary School and then Mount Zion Group of School.
