The Purpose of Easter

Most of the times we think that being successful is just by having the good things of life. The truth still remains that until a man encounters Jesus the Christ such a life have not really started counting.
Today we have Christians all over celebrate Easter, a commemoration of the dead, burial and resurrection of Jesus, but what comes to my heart at this sober period is  firstly why did he die, secondly is what has that death really created in my life.
He died because I was hell bound, yes Jesus had to die to give us life that was lost, the life that we lost in that garden of Eden, the fellowship that was lost as a result of our sin in that garden, Jesus came to restore us into that fellowship.
He gave his all that Man may get back and even more than what He lost. He gave us eternal life, the Zoe life.
Looking at the insults, ridicule and shame he suffered just to make us free,it is going to be a great act of ingratitude and wickedness to be living in sin,the scriptures said that He became sin that we may become the righteousness of God.
It was impossible for man to attain that, but Jesus made us attain it by being that sacrificial lamb, slain on that cross for the remission of our sins.
The impact this has created in our life or suffice to say for any man whom have come to believe in him is that we now have liberty and access into the very presence of God,we now have oneness with the Spirit of God, we now share the heritage of Christ, we have fellowship with the Godhead,we now have authority over powers and host of darkness because we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, and most importantly we are washed and cleansed from Sin with power over sin, because Jesus did not only died but He resurrected.
Glory!
This is what Easter is all about.

Hope this helps.
