One of the reasons why false teachers would continue to decieve many so-called believers is because most of these believers on Christ don't have time to study and make researches on the scriptures. It is not enough to have a hard cover or Bible in print or on your phone,but studying it and understanding what it is saying. Pathetically or rather unfortunately we even have preachers today who had little time to teach God's people the importance of studying God's word for themselves but would have a whole lot of time to demonstrate power,speak prophecies and perform signs and wonders. Inasmuch as signs and wonders are good and have their place in the body of Christ, it in also going to be very unhealthy and imbalanced when the believer doesn't supplement it with a robust study and knowledge of God's word. Happy new year once again, it's amazing how God has helped each and everyone of us to experience a new year as this,the year 2025. At this time of the year many of us have high expectations and this is also a period where many churches and religious groups engage in fasting and prayers in preparation for the coming months of the year. While it is good and okay to carry out such religious observance, it is however not the an end in itself but a means to an end. Most folks after fasting at this period when it gets to the last quarter of the year and it looks as if what they have prayed for in the early part of the year doesn't materialise they feel like God has disappointed them,whereas they have failed to look within how they had also contributed to the state of their lives.
