Lost Values Of Today  op 10:37am Growing up there were things we were taught and inculcated by our families, neighbors and the church but these days there seems to be an erosion of such and it is seriously a thing of concern and the next generation is in trouble if nothing is done about it. Dan Okonkwo otherwise known as Rev'd Dan Okonkwo is an ordained minister of God with an apostolic teaching grace.  He is the Associate Global Lead Pastor of New Life Discipleship Ministry,he hails from Issele Mkpitime,idumu ogbu community in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.  One of the things that has weakened the church and her effect this day in some quarters in the world today is the permission of simony in the church. Selling of relics and so-called spiritual items has diverted some persons in the Church from focus on Christ and his finished works to items,relics, emblems, stickers,bottled water and olive oil even towels and so-called branded clothes for exorbitant prices. The issue I have with these is not because of what they are,but how they have placed price tags and confidence of the church on these things. Some persons believe now on stickers, emblems,aprons,olive oil,incense,candles, t-shirts than on the spoken and written word of God. They are very much ready to discard the Word of God but not these items,that is why most of these fellows fall into the deception of false prophets and so-called diviners parading as Apostles and Ministers of God. What every minister of Christ must know is that success,true success in ministry is in the ability to walk in the blueprint of God for ones ministry,being faithful in it and aiming to accomplish all there is for him to accomplish. That is what is called "making full proof of ones ministry". Ministry is not titles, Ministry is not fans, Ministry is not having possession to brag about. Ministry is submission to the spirit in being a yielded vessel in his hands in whatever capacity he has called you to function without you being jealous or envious of others in effecting or reaching out to your world through his grace that works in you. If he called you to pastor just a local assembly don't leave it and start seeking for how you can be an international preacher. The yardstick of men is not the same as God's.  One of the reasons why false teachers would continue to decieve many so-called believers is because most of these believers on Christ don't have time to study and make researches on the scriptures.  It is not enough to have a hard cover or Bible in print or on your phone,but studying it and understanding what it is saying.  Pathetically or rather unfortunately we even have preachers today who had little time to teach God's people the importance of studying God's word for themselves but would have a whole lot of time to demonstrate power,speak prophecies and perform signs and wonders.  Inasmuch as signs and wonders are good and have their place in the body of Christ, it in also going to be very unhealthy and imbalanced when the believer doesn't supplement it with a robust study and knowledge of God's word.  God makes it clear that His Word should have more primacy in our lives than anything else and if we cannot have time to study or research on God's word how d...
